I am a self-taught tattoo artist and have owned & operated my own shop for about 23 years now. Tattooing has been my passion since as far back as I can remember and I have seen a lot of change in the art and in the culture throughout the years. I have continued to grow along with the industry and feel very comfortable where it is today and am excited about where it’s heading. There have been a lot of serious artists coming up in the last 5/6 years; Michael James being one of them.

I tattoo everything from black & gray to color pieces, small, medium, to large pieces, sleeves to body suits, and anything from mild to wild… usually wild, and my work is always custom. My true passion is, and always has been, photo realism. I love tattooing portraits of people, pets, wildlife, and such things because there is nothing quite like capturing the essence of a person, or a pet, that someone holds dear to them. I certainly know a lot about the business, but no one can ever know too much or learn too much. I feel as though I am still growing with my art. That being said, I am lucky enough this far into my career, to have clients that give me free rein to do what’s in my head, or put my twist and style into something they want, and make a totally unique piece of body-art. I am currently sponsored by Stigma Rotary tattoo machines, which has helped me be recognized as a top professional worldwide tattoo artist.
