For many, tattoo is the external design for their internal minds; for others, it is being able to establish new identities or simply make themselves beautiful forever. As for me, I got my tattoo to mark the significant events in my life, and needless to say, the experience was a life-changing one.

I became interested in tattooing as soon as I got my first tattoo, but the journey from the first tattoo to where I am today was a long one. I tried tattooing others as much as I could get my hands on; I wanted to expose myself to many different styles, as well as other aspects when it comes to tattoo. I would seek out opportunities to sharpen my artistic skills, countless tattoos I have done for my friends would tell a better story. Eventually it became something bigger than anyone could imagine, and when I am not tattooing, my friends would find me either in the middle of drawing something on a piece of paper, or finishing up a painting.

I have always been interested in realism, yet still want to keep tattoo in the sense that it would last forever; I have found both in Asian Art tattoo. Asian Art specifically flows on the body parts and also provides a wide range of ability that helps me to be creative with my art and continue to grow with it.

In my early years of tattoo, most of my inspirations had come from tattoo masters such as Shige, from Yellow Blaze Tattoo in Japan; Hori Yen, from My Tattoo in California, and Khan from Kids Love Ink. I was also inspired by Bio Mechanic tattoo masters, Guy Aitchison, Nick Baxter and last but not least, mentor Tuyen Tran from Timeless Ink. Through observing these masters, I have improved my artistic skills dramatically in layers, volume, depth, flow and color contrast. These masters have greatly impacted my style and shaped the way I tattoo others.

Many of the people who’ve gotten tattoos from me had a vibe that the moment they received the tattoo, they had established a new identity. No matter if it was a small star or a full back dragon, we are working for the same common goal. Many tattoo artists set out to be great, but I set out to be a great Asian Art tattoo artist.
