K.J. began tattooing in Hawaii in 1988. Since then, he has tattooed in Seattle, Oregon, Hollywood, Oakland, Austin, Nashville, Brooklyn, Tokyo, New Jersey, Virginia, Philly, Mass, New Hampshire, as well as many other places. Began building 100% handmade tattoo machines in 1998. Learned sign painting in 2004 from his Ol’ Granddad, becoming a 3rd generation sign painter. Currently, K.J. is tattooing by appointment only in his private studio in Wyoming, R.I., traveling to conventions/guest spots, and building custom handmade tattoo machines for the discriminating working tattooer.
