Body Art Practitioner License Requirements
All body artists providing services (i.e., tattooing, piercing) at the Boston Tattoo Convention must apply for a Temporary Body Art Practitioner License from the Wilmington Board of Health.

Required Documents:
- Driver’s License, state-issued ID, passport, or other government photo ID
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Prevention of disease transmission and bloodborne pathogens certifications
- Dated copy of your current practitioner license and/or letter from a licensed body art practitioner (including a copy of that artist’s license ) stating that the you as the applicant has at least one year of full-time employment (1,800 hours) in a permitted Body Art Establishment including supervised practice on at least 100 clients. $75 permit fee
Notes:
Only fully licensed Artists and Practitioners should apply for a Temporary Body Art Practitioner License for this event. We do not accept apprentice licenses to tattoo at the BTC.

All complete applications must be received by at least 5 business days in advance of the Boston Tattoo Convention to ensure they are processed prior to the convention. Applications that are incomplete or that are not received will not be processed.
