DAY 1: Observation, Insight, and Process

1 – Live Client Consultation + Student Involvement

- Discuss boundaries, communication, and maintaining exceptional customer service
2 – Collaborative Design Process
- Participate in building a design for an award-winning piece

- Ask questions throughout and understand how to plan with both the client and judges in mind
3 – Live Tattoo Session – Start to Finish
- Observe the tattooing process up close
- Learn how Dana manages client comfort during long sessions
- Students can ask real-time questions about technique, needle choice, machine settings, and more
DAY 2: Application, Technique, and Refinement
Focus: Translating knowledge into action
1 – Student Design Session with Dana
- Work side-by-side with Dana to create your own design
- Apply compositional strategies and technical planning learned on Day 1
- Get personalized feedback to push your creativity and problem-solving further
2 – Tattooing on Practice Skin + Q&A
- Tattoo your design on synthetic skin while Dana observes and guides
- Live critique on hand movements, line work, shading, and saturation
- Open dialogue throughout—ask any questions you didn’t get to ask on Day 1

Goal
By the end of this master class, each student will walk away with a deeper understanding of how to conceptualize, plan, and execute tattoos that are not only client-pleasing but also competition-ready.
